8月は、日本にとって記憶の月です。広島と長崎、戦争の犠牲者を思い起こし、平和を自分の心から始めるよう招かれています。今月は聖コルベ祭、聖母の被昇天、子どものためのミサなどが行われます。日程とお知らせをご確認ください。
August is a month of remembrance in Japan. We remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the victims of war, and the call to begin peace in our own hearts. This month includes the Memorial of St. Maximilian Kolbe, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and a special Mass for Children.

Blessed Are the Peacemakers – Peace Begins in One’s Own Heart
8月は、日本にとって記憶の月です。私たちは広島と長崎、戦争の犠牲者、そして暴力が何世代にもわたって残す苦しみを思い起こします。このような歴史を前にするとき、平和への祈りは、単なる美しい願いや遠い理想にとどまることはできません。イエスは、「平和について語る人」や「他の人が平和をもたらすのを待つ人」ではなく、「平和を実現する人々は幸いである」と言われました。
平和は自分の心から始まります。悪に悪を返さないと決めるとき、人を傷つける言葉や復讐したい気持ち、隣人を裁く心を手放すとき、平和は始まります。一人ひとりが自分の正しさだけを守り、和解への最初の一歩を拒むなら、平和な共同体を築くことはできません。
8月には、聖マキシミリアノ・マリア・コルベを記念します。彼は、ほかの囚人の命を救うために自らの命をささげました。憎しみと恐怖に支配された場所にあっても、彼の心は自由でした。その行いを通して、真の平和とは弱さではなく、犠牲を求められるときにも愛する勇気であることを示してくれます。

August is a month of remembrance in Japan. We remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the victims of war, and the suffering that violence leaves behind for many generations. In the face of such a history, prayer for peace cannot remain merely a beautiful thought or a distant hope. Jesus says, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” not merely those who speak about peace or wait for others to create it.
Peace begins in one’s own heart. It begins when we choose not to repay evil with evil, when we let go of words that wound, the desire for revenge, and the habit of judging our neighbor. We cannot build a peaceful community if each person defends only their own sense of being right and refuses to take the first step toward reconciliation.
In August, we also celebrate Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe, who offered his life to save another prisoner. In a place ruled by hatred and fear, he remained inwardly free. Through his sacrifice, he shows us that true peace is not weakness, but the courage to love even when love demands sacrifice.

松田清四朗神父様のご逝去について
Passing of Father Seishiro Matsuda, O.F.M.Conv.
亀有教会の元主任司祭であられた松田清四朗 O.F.M.Conv. 神父様が、2026年7月9日、79歳で帰天されました。松田神父様は、2017年4月から2021年まで亀有教会の主任司祭として司牧にあたられ、多くの信徒の皆様に深く親しまれました。
通夜は7月12日（日）19時より、葬儀ミサ・告別式は7月13日（月）14時より、カトリック本河内教会（長崎市）において執り行われました。司式は谷崎新一郎神父（コンベンツアル聖フランシスコ修道会 日本管区長）でした。
神父様のこれまでのご奉仕に深く感謝するとともに、永遠の安息を心よりお祈り申し上げます。
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Father Seishiro Matsuda, O.F.M.Conv., former Parish Priest of Kameari Catholic Church, who entered eternal life on July 9, 2026, at the age of 79.
Father Matsuda faithfully served as Parish Priest from April 2017 to 2021 and was deeply loved and respected by many parishioners. We give thanks to God for his faithful ministry and pray that the Lord grants him eternal rest. May he rest in peace.
子どものためのミサ
Mass for Children
8月23日（日）午前9時30分のミサは、「子どものためのミサ」を行います。侍者、聖書朗読、献金バスケット、受付案内など、子どもたちができる奉仕に参加し、教会に親しみを持ちながら信仰を育む機会となることを願っています。
ご協力くださる大人のボランティアと、ミサで奉仕を希望する中学生までのお子さんを募集します。希望される方は、教会受付にてお名前とご連絡先をご記入ください。
On Sunday, August 23, at the 9:30 a.m. Mass, we will celebrate a Children’s Mass. Children may serve at the altar, proclaim Scripture readings, carry the offertory basket, or welcome people at the entrance.
We are seeking adult volunteers and children up to junior high school age who would like to serve. Please write your name and contact information at the church reception desk.
カトリック亀有教会共同墓地のご案内
Kameari Catholic Church Communal Cemetery
教会共同墓地は、信徒とそのご家族のお遺骨を埋葬し、教会共同体が永久に追悼していくため、2006年5月にカトリック五日市霊園に建立しました。教会が永続的に管理し、毎年追悼ミサを行います。
- 1名様: 20万円
- 2名様: 38万円
- 4名様: 56万円

The communal cemetery was established at Catholic Itsukaichi Cemetery in May 2006. It is permanently maintained by the Church, which celebrates an annual memorial Mass for those interred there. Detailed information is available in the church entrance hall.
第89回 東葛飾宣教協力体協議会 開催報告
89th Higashi-Katsushika Evangelization Cooperation Council
第89回東葛飾宣教協力体協議会は、7月11日（土）午後1時より松戸教会で開催され、亀有・豊四季・松戸の3教会から17名が参加しました。各教会の活動報告と今後の活動計画について話し合われました。
亀有教会の今年度の活動目標は、次の3点です。
- 健全な財務体制の構築と透明性の確保
- 福音宣教を軸としたデジタル化と多言語対応の強化
- 国籍や文化の違いを尊重した宣教司牧を推進するための体制づくり
The 89th meeting was held at Matsudo Catholic Church on Saturday, July 11, with 17 participants from Kameari, Toyoshiki, and Matsudo parishes. The meeting focused on current parish activities and future plans, including financial transparency, multilingual digital outreach, and pastoral ministry that respects different nationalities and cultures.

会計報告について
Financial Reports
2026年4月1日に発足した新しい司牧評議会では、教会の会計報告について透明性を重視しています。毎月第4日曜日のミサ後より、前月分の会計報告を閲覧いただけます。閲覧をご希望の信徒の方は、財務委員長 宮本麻紀までお問い合わせください。英語とベトナム語の対訳表も準備しています。
The new Pastoral Council places great importance on transparency regarding the church’s financial reports. The report for the previous month is available after Mass on the fourth Sunday of each month. Parishioners who wish to review it should contact Maki Miyamoto, Chair of the Finance Committee. English and Vietnamese translation guides are also available.
