We remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the victims of war, and the suffering that violence leaves behind for many generations. In the face of such a history, prayer for peace cannot remain merely a beautiful thought or a distant hope. Jesus says, &#8220;Blessed are the peacemakers,&#8221; not merely those who speak about peace or wait for others to create it.<\/p>\n    <p>Peace begins in one&#8217;s own heart. It begins when we choose not to repay evil with evil, when we let go of words that wound, the desire for revenge, and the habit of judging our neighbor. We cannot build a peaceful community if each person defends only their own sense of being right and refuses to take the first step toward reconciliation.<\/p>\n    <p>In August, we also celebrate Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe, who offered his life to save another prisoner. In a place ruled by hatred and fear, he remained inwardly free. Through his sacrifice, he shows us that true peace is not weakness, but the courage to love even when love demands sacrifice.<\/p>\n    <p class=\"kameari-august-post__signature\">With prayer and gratitude,<br><strong>Fr. We give thanks to God for his faithful ministry and pray that the Lord grants him eternal rest.
